Information design
Because drivers have very little time to read a sign, the system does not present every sensor state equally. Its logic prioritises one clear recommendation, translating multiple live signals into the fastest useful instruction.

A concise computational experiment using the visual language of digital counters, symbols and responsive systems.
CAR creates a playful interactive model car park. Six infrared sensors detect whether parking spaces are occupied and the display recommends the closest available position, beginning at P2 and continuing through P7 before displaying “All full.”

The original lift rotated continuously from a simple on/off control. Connecting its motor and infrared sensor to an Arduino allowed it to run only when a car crosses the detection point, adding responsive automation to the physical model.
